General & Booking Questions
Most of our tours depart from central Sofia (Vasil Levski Monument, Embassy of Slovakia). You will receive the exact pick-up address, Google Maps link, and instructions the evening before your tour. Select tours also include additional pick-up points along the route.
Entrance fees for sites (such as Boyana Church or museum entrances) are generally not included in the base tour price unless specified in the itinerary. Please check the “Inclusions & Exclusions” section on each tour page for detailed information.
We recommend booking at least 7–10 days in advance, especially during peak tourist season (May to October), as popular tours like the Rila Monastery & Boyana Church or Seven Rila Lakes sell out quickly. Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the tour starts.
On the Tour & Logistics
All daily tours are led in English, with Spanish and Italian live-guided options available on select days. A web-based audio guide is always available in multiple languages for every tour.
For hiking tours (e.g., Seven Rila Lakes, Musala Peak, Vitosha), please wear sturdy hiking boots/shoes, dress in layers, and bring a rain jacket, sun protection, water, and snacks. Mountain weather can change rapidly.
Sightseeing tours operate rain or shine. For high-mountain hiking or adventure tours where safety is a concern, we monitor weather forecasts closely. If a tour is canceled due to severe weather, you will be offered an alternative date or route.
Pricing & Cancellations
You can cancel your booking up to 24 hours before departure for a full refund (check specific terms on your booking page). Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour departure are non-refundable.
Lunch is not included in the tour price, but our itineraries always include scheduled stops at areas with food options where you can purchase lunch.
Transport & Comfort
We use modern, air-conditioned minivans and minibuses (or larger tour coaches depending on group size). All vehicles are clean, comfortable, and regularly inspected for long-distance driving.
Free Wi-Fi and USB charging points are available on most of our vehicles. However, signal strength may vary when traveling through remote mountain regions.
Small backpacks and personal bags are welcome. If you have large suitcases (e.g., if you are transferring between cities), please notify us in advance so we can ensure sufficient vehicle trunk space
Accessibility & Special Requirements
Most sightseeing tours (like Plovdiv or Rila Monastery) are suitable for travelers of all ages but are recommended for children 6+ years old. Some hiking and adventure tours require a good level of physical fitness and may not be suitable for young children or individuals with mobility issues. Please review the difficulty rating on each tour page.
Due to historic terrain (cobblestones, stairs, unpaved trails), many historical sites and mountain paths are not fully wheelchair accessible. Please contact us before booking so we can recommend the most suitable options and make necessary arrangements.
Yes! The restaurants we visit along our routes offer vegetarian and basic vegan options (such as fresh salads, bean soups, and grilled vegetables). Please inform your guide at the start of the tour if you have strict dietary needs.
Payments & Discounts
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro) through our secure online booking system. Please note that all bookings must be paid online.
Yes, child discounts are available for some tours. These options will appear automatically during the online checkout process when selecting passenger categories.
