My family and I went on a trip with Svet and Stan. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it to everyone. Svet is a very kind person who takes care of everything, tells you lots of interesting facts about Bulgaria, and even knows how to deal with difficult people. Everything is very well organized. I recommend not waiting for latecomers who can’t tell time and setting off at the scheduled time.

We booked a day trip to the Rila Monastery and the Church of Boyana. Not only are these UNESCO sites worthwhile, but so is the beautiful scenery along the way. Our guide, Todor, did not limit himself to explanations at the monuments but also shared a lot of information about Bulgarian history and culture with us along the way, delivered with good pacing and the necessary humor—very enjoyable. Everything was also well organized and communicated in terms of practical aspects. The only downside: Bulgarian buses are for short people… Fortunately, the breathtaking content compensated for this practical inconvenience of the trip.

Really awesome experience. Our tour guide (Martin) was very patient, helpful, and informative. It’s a great way to see a portion of Bulgaria I wouldn’t have been able to get to otherwise, and so much of the history and nuance of Plovdiv and the Thracian tomb would have gone completely unappreciated. I highly recommend, especially if you love history, architecture, or learning about new cultures.

Today we went on a day trip to Plovdiv, Starosel, and Staro Zhelezare. It was a complete success thanks to our guide, Ani, who explained everything so well. She made it really enjoyable and fun. Besides Plovdiv, we also visited a typical Bulgarian village covered in graffiti. This trip was definitely worth it, and the guide deserves top marks!

We went by bus to Rila Monastery. The guide Hristo is passionate about his job and managed to convey not only his knowledge, but also his love to the Bulgarian holy places and saints to the passengers. The bus driver Rosen was also very professional and we felt safe during the drive. Great job!

Had a really great tour, hosted by guided by Hristo and driver Asan! The church of Boyana is beautiful on itself, but the monastery and cave are something different with the outstanding paintings and the special story of hermit St John/Ivan. Make sure you book the whole package, otherwise you’ll have to wait a bit longer or won’t be able to visit the church (which is a great loss)

A practical tour to visit two cities that are difficult to reach independently from Sofia! Our guide, Todor, was friendly and extremely welcoming as we learned about the history of the cities and his beloved country! Excellent experience with Hristos as our wonderful guide and Asen (the best Bulgarian driver). Hristos is devoted and extremely knowledgeable about Bulgarian history and specific little interesting stories around big and small events that he convoys with big joy! Very pleasant experience in the wonderful Rila Monastery, near Sofia, authentic and very relaxing while being historically very rich. Can only recommend!

I highly recommend the team of guide Svet and driver Asen. Svet introduced us to many interesting aspects of the main attractions on our route (our destination – the Rila Monastery). We also received some information about Bulgaria itself and its capital. Asen took us to our destination without any problems. The trip was quick and comfortable. Two magnificent places nestled in the mountains! A must-see! Our guide was eager to provide us with all the necessary information: Christian is enthusiastic and dedicated, and you can feel his passion for the places we visited. Pieter (bus driver) and Christopher (EN guide) gave us a fantastic day. We learned a lot of new things about the history and the art. A new artist was learned who created more than 100 years before the Mona Lisa a fresco that follows you. Highly recommended to visit the cave as well and keep in mind it is a hike/mountain trail with rocks.

A wonderful experience. My friends and I (six of us in total) chose the tour of Rila Monastery, Boyana Church, and St. John's Cave. Rila Monastery absolutely thrilled us all, but reaching the cave can be a challenge for some, as it involves a 10-minute hike along a mountain trail. Our guide, Svet, along with Sergii (our efficient and experienced driver), demonstrated truly exceptional professionalism, knowledge, and helpfulness, allowing us to fully enjoy this beautiful day.

Great esperience with Traventuria! We visited the Rila Monastery, the cave of Saint John and the Boyana church. All 3 site were interesting and they are a “must” if you visit Sofia. Svet, our guide, was highly prepared and very friendly. We also had a quick chat with the driver, Sergej, and he was super friendly. Really recommended!

Everything was perfectly organised from start to finish.I booked online easily, Borovets to Sofia city center, and the process was clear and quick. They guided me properly before departure, providing clear instructions and accurate information about the pickup location. The driver was right on time, and the communication throughout was prompt and professional. Clean and modern minibuses.

Stay away from this company. We accidentally bought 5 bus tickets online instead of 3, and they refused to refund the money for the two extra tickets. Then, when we boarded the bus, the seats we had overpaid for were, strangely enough, occupied. So never buy from them, CRIMINALS!!!

We had an unforgettable winter hike with Traventuria to the Seven Rila Lakes, led by our excellent tour leader Yordan. Despite very snowy and challenging weather conditions, the tour was extremely well managed and felt safe and enjoyable throughout.
Because of the deep snow and winter conditions, we managed to visit 4 of the 7 lakes, which was absolutely the right call. Yordan’s judgment and experience really showed here — safety was always the top priority, without taking away from the adventure or the sense of achievement. The hike took around 4 hours and was demanding but incredibly rewarding.
Yordan was professional, supportive, and encouraging the entire time, making sure everyone in the group was comfortable and coping well with the conditions. He shared useful information about the area and kept a great pace given the weather, while maintaining a positive and motivating attitude.
If you’re looking for a well-organized winter hike with experienced guides who genuinely care about the group, I highly recommend Traventuria — and especially Yordan. It was a challenging but memorable experience and one of the highlights of our trip.

Svet was a lovely guide, very knowledgeable giving relevant information, managed to answer all questions very well translated to English. Driver, Sergio, very good, I felt safe the entire journey. Don’t pay for entry to the church on ‘Get your guide’ as it won’t get you in, you have to pay on the tour.

The best way to reach Bansko. Very comfortable, safe, easy (directly to your hotel if wanted), easy to book, And very reasonable price. Early in the morning, I left from Ankara, And I was at the ski center before 12:00!

this tour company, Traventuria, is super professional & offers seamless tours at economical prices. Having travelled to many countries in Europe, it’s my first experience that they offer a real tour guide, plus an audio smart guide. The smart guide, which they sent out the previous evening, is so useful to help us prepare for the journey. It gives very comprehensive information about the history, background, details of the sites, local visit recommendations, general lifestyle, etc. We can pre-listen & study all information at our leisure time, or on the bus, & don’t have to fumble with listening on the clumsy device or on cell phones while busy taking pictures. My tour was on 24 Oct, which was really special, as there was non-stop heavy thunderstorm, the whole time we were in Veliko Tarnovo, at one point, there was severe windstorm & hailstones for 15 minutes. our guide Martin was especially lively & with good humor to keep the group in good spirits, despite everyone was soaked from head to tail. It was really a unique experience. Although all photos are dark & grey, & I missed some sights due to the rain. Martin is really nice & takes care of everyone. The driver is very good & the van is big & comfortable with only 6 guests.

We had a tour to Plovdiv today, we met at 8:45 and the bus left at 9:00 AM. Our tour guide Maria was very nice and knowledgeable. She gave us the history of Plovdiv and pointed out places of historical value as we were leaving Sofia. We opted for the guided tour which was just enough to get a nice overview. After the guided tour we had about 2 hours of free time enough to have lunch and do a little shopping. Overall great tour.
