07:30 Sofia Departure
Board the comfortable tour vehicle at the central Sofia pickup point, Vasil Levski Monument, in front of the Embassy of Slovakia (LINK to the meeting point on Google Maps), and head north toward the Danube Plain.
10:30-11:30 Arrival at Nikopol Meeting Point & Setup
After an approximate three-hour drive, we arrive at the riverside in Nikopol.
Meet the expert instructors from the kayak club, receive your professional gear fitting (kayak, paddle, life vest), and complete a comprehensive safety briefing.
11:30 Cliffside Rock Church & Launch
Launch into the water and make your first stop at the ancient rock-carved Church of St. Stefan, exploring its mystical history right on the water's edge.
12:00–17:30 The Wild Island Odyssey
Paddle downstream through the spectacular channels of Persina Nature Park, stopping on wild, untouched sandbanks for a swim, relaxation, and a packed lunch break.
The rowing lasts about 5 hours, of which 3 - 4 hours are in the water.
During the tour, there are periodic breaks for eating, taking pictures, swimming, or sunbathing.
17:00 - 17:30 Belene Arrival & Pack Up
Reach the final destination at the pristine Belene beach (near Hotel Prestige). Return the gear, freshen up, and change into dry clothes.
17:30 -20:30 Arrival at Vasil Levski Monument (Embassy of Slovakia) - back at the tour meeting point
After an approximate three hours driving, the tour is back at its starting point - Vasil Levski Monument, in front of the Embassy of Slovakia (LINK to the meeting point on Google Maps).
