  • How to Dress: In the summer, the temperature in Belogradchik reaches over 40°C. Traventuria advice: Bring a sun hat, sun lotion, and sunglasses.
    Shoes: We advise you to wear comfortable walking shoes for uneven terrain, stairs, and climbing at Belogradchik Fortress
  • Cash or Card: Kindly note that payment by credit/debit card is possible only for the entrance fee for Belogradchik Fortress. For Venetsa Cave, only cash is accepted, so you have to bring Bulgarian leva in cash with you.
    Please note that there are no ATMs along the route
  • Food: Bring your snacks & a bottle of water! Dining options in the area are limited & service could be rather slow.

07:00 Departure from Vasil Levski Monument (Embassy of Slovakia) meeting point.

Please, arrive at the meeting point at least 10 min earlier. The bus departs at 07:00 am sharp and does NOT wait for any late passengers.

10:30 – Arrival at Belogradchik Rocks

Uncover the stunning Belogradchik Rocks and take in breathtaking panoramic views of Bulgaria’s Balkan Mountains

11:30 – Visit Belogradchik Fortress

The historic Belogradchik Fortress is nestled among the rocks. Discover its Roman origins and strategic significance.

We will travel approximately 30 minutes to reach the place.
